Minimalex

A “Minimal surface” refers to the surface of minimum area that spans a given boundary in mathematics. While soap films created by soap water may seem random, they form shapes that minimize area, using the least amount of material possible. This is the creation of a Minimal surface. 

Minimalex is a tool designed for graphic designers to explore “how the shape works.” By assembling Minimalex into the desired shape and dipping it into soap water, a soap film forms between the pillars of the acrylic plates. This soap film shows the user unexpected results.
